The outboard position of the rotor bearing allows atmospheric venting between the compression chambers and the bearings, which keeps the gears, and bearings cool, and prevents contamination of compression chamber and air, making delivery 100 per cent oil free. Compact design, heavy-duty bearings and accurately machined tolerances allow high-speed operation, increasing capacity for relatively low unit weight.
