Elmech engineers manufactures elmech brand wire rope electric hoists from 0.5 tonne to 50 tonne capacity and maximum height of lift of 200 metres. These conform to class i, ii, iii, iv heavy-duty specification as per is: 3938-1983. The hoists are equipped with foolproof electro mechanical brakes operating on conical rotor motor principles. These brakes are far superior to electro hydraulic thrustor brakes offered by most other manufactures. All elmech hoists have high torque, crane duty, 40% cdf, class "f" insulated conical motors suitable for 150 starts/hour. Brakes are provided in hoisting as well as cross traversing motion. These hoists are available in four basic arrangements, viz; fixed mounted type, push pull trolley type, hand operated trolley type and motor driven trolley type. Hoists are also manufactured to suit special applications, eg, for outdoors location, hoist with driver`s cabin, twin hoist for exceptionally high height of lift or high hoisting speeds, etc. Each electric hoist can be supplied with micro speed attachment in hoisting motion as well as cross traversing motion to reduce the original speed to 15% or 10%.
