Ell ess engg has introduced vertical leaf filters. This versatile filter is usable for the separation of large quantity of solids. The filter cake sticks to the vertically placed filter leaves even under varying pressure conditions. It is recommended for use where the floor space is very critical. The filter is available not only for slurry also for dry discharge of the cake. The filter media is either fabric material or stainless steel wire-cloth. The cleaning of the internal filter plates can be performed in a closed condition using oscillating pipe mechanism or a pneumatic vibrator. The inspection and maintenance of the internal panels become easy using a pneumatic cylinder that lifts the top cover within seconds by swinging it to one side. The filter can be operated with or without filter aids. It comes in carbon steel, stainless steel and carbon steel with rubber lining.
