These are specially designed for the filtration of highly viscous fluids like tooth paste, cosmetics, gums, adhesives, glues, fats, butter, pigments, paints, rubber and varnish. The filter housing can be manufactured from carbon steel, ss 304, ss 304l, ss 316, ss 316l. The screen or filtering element is fabricated out of trapezoidal wire welded to cross bars forming a continuous slot of controlled size. The screen can be constructed from ss 304, ss 304l, ss 316, ss 316l, hastelloy c 276 or inconel. It has working pressure range up to 10 bar. The geared motor is set on the top of the filter and directly coupled to the filter cartridge. A flame-proof geared motor can be provided, if required. Filter cartridge can be constructed out of various materials as stated above. The size of the wire can be chosen to suit the particular application. The width of the wire ranges from 0.76 mm to 3.00 mm whereas the height of the wire varies from 1.30 mm to 4.50 mm. Similarly, the shape, size and the number of support rods also vary as per the size of the cartridge, strength required, functional aspect, etc. The gap between the wires is adjustable between 0.05 mm and 1.00 mm.
