Electro-arts manufactures motion sensors. Pir motion sensor is such a human body motion sensor, based on passive infrared techniques. It senses presence of moving person in the specified area and operates a relay output. The motion sensor is normally mounted on the wall. It covers an angular area of approximately 100° and has a range of up to 3.5 to 4 metres. Pir, the motion sensor functions on 220 v ac/12 v dc and has a built-in time delay and sensitivity adjustment. Time delay settings keeps the output relay on for desired time after detecting presence of human body. It has day-night selectable switch that makes the sensor work at nights only or during day and night. The fixing arrangement is such that, it can be adjusted in any required angle. Motion sensors are extensively used in controlling sliding doors/air curtains, porch lights, staircase lights, passage lights, lights at monuments, courtyard lights; for automatically controlling working of air conditioning units in executive cabins in the offices; delivering re-recorded messages/warnings; advertisement displays; and for security systems/burglar alarms.
