Dadmatrac electronics has developed a data logger for use in 2- and 4-wheelers for the purpose of monitoring the driving habits of the test riders during the test drive circuit route. The datalogger is to be preset for the lap distance [1-99 km] and the number of laps [1-99], and it records the time taken per lap in its non-volatile memory. Upon completion of the preset number of laps, the device beeps an audible signal and stops further recording, thus signifying the end of the test circuit. The data logger works on 12 v dc with only a lead coming from the speedo cable sensor. It can be isolated in a separate enclosure to make it tamper proof. The data stored in the logger is then downloaded into a computer and a report generated.
