Anabond limited has introduced a new one-part epoxy adhesive for the benefit of manufacturers of electronic toys, greeting cards, instruments, circuit boards, etc. The product, anabond 229, is one part 100% reactive system taht does not shrink on curing. It withstands heat, dissipates heat from the circuit, and protects ic numbers from being copied by competitors by masking the chips, components and circuit. It is economical as only a few grams is needed. It is ready to use and needs no mixing. It sets down at 100 oc in 30 minutes. It is hard, extremely difficult to crack without spoiling the circuits, hence the circuits are well protected. Can also be used as a potting compound in small capacitors, locking the potentiometers, etc.
