Aerovent projects, manufacturer of a range of products for pollution control, offers unitary dust collectors. These units have been especially designed for single point dust extraction. These are compact and mounted on wheels. Standard material of construction available is mild steel; however, it can also be offered in stainless steel construction. The principle of working for the unit is, air is made to pass through special filter media and the dust is accumulated in the filter media. This filter media is stitched in the form of tubes. The dust is retained inside the tube and clean air is exhausted. The standard air capacity of the dust collector is 300 cfm and 450 cfm. These units find application in industries such as pharmaceutical, cement, chemical and dairies. These are especially useful in air-conditioned rooms, as the dust can be removed in the dust collector and conditioned air can be exhausted to the same room. Thus, saving air conditioning costs. Units have also been developed with acoustic insulation, to render them silent during operation. Unitary dust collectors can be supplied with mechanical shaker or with pulse jet automatic cleaning. Normally, for low dust level mechanical shaker suffice. However, for large heavy dust loading pulse jet automatic cleaning is recommended to prevent build up of caking on the filter media.
