Productivity elements offers a vertical broaching machine for helical broaching application in auto components like starter motor, ratchetkick starter, etc. The machine consists of a broach slide driven by ball screw on lm guides and ac servo motor. A cnc rotary table is mounted on the table with a closed loop interpolation, with ac servo motor of the broach slide. During the broaching operation of the helix, the broach slide and the rotary table operates to the preset ratio to generate the required helix/lead on the component. The machine can be programmed for different helix angle and lead as well as rh and lh helix through the system using the correct broach. The machine can also be used for straight and involute splines by disconnecting the rotary table drive from the system. The man machine interface [mmi] provided on the machine, monitors the machine and broaches tool status in detail and also production, resharpening cycle, tool life and broach overload. The machine is available in two versions namely standard and cellbroach.
