The scanners can be effctively used to protect equipment like ht motors and transformers and to monitor process temperature. The microcontroller-based scanners provide output in the form of rs232 or rs485 modbus so as to effectively log the data in dcs. The temperature scanneras accept inputs from many temperature sensors located in the field. They indicate the channel number as well as the temperature of that particular channel on display. When temperature of any channel increases beyond set value, an output relay is activated. The output relay can be common for all channels or common for group or can be assigned for individual channel. Auto/manual facility, retransmission facility, fan relay outputs, pc communication are some of the optional features designed for the scanners. Number of channels can be from 6, 8, 12 and 16 or in multiples.
