Product Profile of Miniature Circuit Breakers [lower Rating]
Abrol engineering company pvt. Ltd. [aeco] is a renowned name in electrical protection equipments for the last four decades which are of national and international standards. Being a part of those lower rating miniature circuit breakers has many unique features:
- Current limiting design - it does not allow such high current to pass through it. Current reversal produces repelling magnetic field and introduces high resistance in circuit to limit the current to values between 2.5 to 3ka breaking current.
- Silver graphite contacts [innovative contacts metallurgy employed] -contact bounce, when making high short-circuit currents, results in contact welding in pure silver or ordinary silver alloy contacts.
- Housing - the body of aeco mcb is made of flame retardant high strength plastic which has a high melting point, low water absorption at saturation, high dielectric strength, high deflection temperature under load and low co-efficient of linear thermal expansion.
- Trip free mechanism- the tripping of the mcb is independent of the position of the knob, that is to say that while the operating knob may be held in the on position, the mcb will still open in the event of a fault.
- Padlocking/sealing arrangement - is possible in both on and off positions. This eliminates the hazards of closing when personnel are working on circuits as well as the nuisance of manual tripping when it is unnecessary.
- Special vents - are designed to prevent any ingress of dust. The chances of dust settlement on the contacts are reduced and dust free perfect electrical contact is made. Hot gases produced are diverted away from the operating personnel during short-circuit arc breaking.
