NTB Hitech Ceramics offers a choice of three different ceramics materials - High alumina [AL95] seal faces for tough, high load, high temperature applications and Steatite and NTB ZAS for low load, fractional horse power pump seals. • Common shaft sizes vary from 6 to 150 mm and seal faces for shaft diameters up to 30 mm are available off-the-shelf

• Diamond polished to within 1-2 light band flatness

• Double side lapped for parallelism within 20 microns

• Exhibit a uniform micro-structure for hydrodynamic fluid film retention

• Include a surface finish [Ra] of less then 0.2 microns

• NTB ZAS seal faces have better thermal shock characteristics and are comparable in prices with steatite seal faces
