Daulat ram industries is engaged in designing , manufacturing and supplying dynamic braking resister for diesel and electric locomotives. As part of that, the company offers dynamic braking resistor for ac locomotives. This is compact in size and equipped with resistor bank, blower motor and blower. Resistor bank contains six resistors tiers, which are connected to six traction motors. Manufactured from nickel chromium alloys, resistor banks are capable to endure high temperature with low tendency of a gain, low resistance change. An axial flow fan with d.C. Motor is used as a blower. It is made of die-cast aluminum alloy. This braking system provides maximum braking efforts and reduces speed of the train with loads up to 4800 tones.
