A number of organizations dealing in Seismology have accumulated from past several decades Seismic charts of various shapes, sizes and resolution. With passage of time, many of the charts have faded, have become brittle and valuable scientific information accumulated at great effort and expense is being lost with passage of time due to aging process. The new set of seismic equipments use digital seismographs wherein data can be easily stored and manipulated using computers.
