Sponge Iron is the product created when iron ore is reduced to metallic iron, usually with some kind of carbon [charcoal, etc], at temperatures below the melting point of iron. Sponge Iron is manufactured by Bhushan Steel Limited. Bhushan Steel Limited is an ISO 14001:2004, ISO/TS 16949:2002 and OHSAS 18001:2007 recognized company.
Bhushan Steel Limited also manufactures diverse types of galvanized coil and sheet, high tensile steel strapping, Colour coated coils, galume sheets and coils, hardened & tempered steel strips , billets, sponge iron, precision tubes and wire rod etc. Sponge Iron is not useful in itself, but can be processed to create wrought iron.
