This Adjustable Pendulum is capable of swinging about two horizontal axes perpendicular to each other. One of the axes is perpendicular to the vertical plane containing the release trajectory of the pendulum. The other axis is at right angle to this axis and serves to move the pendulum away from the vertical plane in which the impact point of the mirror is located. The lower end of the pendulum carries a rubber lined spherical hammer formed by a rigid metal sphere.
