Omega electronics has manufactured digital preset [batch] counters for counting turns, articles, revolutions, length, 999 [3 digits], 9999 [4 digits] or 99999 [5 digits]. Presetting is done using a thumbwheel switch, logic signal microswitch, etc. The instrument is resistant to industrial noise and saves its count value in case of power failure. A relay operates changeover contacts that are available on the rear panel on exceeding the set limit. It can be wired for self-resetting, with or without manual delay function. It requires supply voltage ranging from 180 to 275 v ac. Multistage preset counters and batch totalisers are also available. These digital preset counters are used in plastic processing machines, packaging machines, printing machines, instrumentation and process control panels. These counters come in standard din, and half din sizes.
