Blow Down Type Valve maintains fluid tightness and ease of operation without the aid of any wedging action. The Valve has a disc spring that keeps the discs in close contact with the seats when the valve is not under pressure, and the slide valve action removes any dirt and foreign matter from the faces. The Valve ensures that operation by means of a rack and pinion is so arranged as to give full opening with a half turn of box-key. The Blow Down Type Valve has a gland that forms a locking guard which prevents the removal of the box-key unless the valve is closed.
