Impetus incorporated provides accurate laboratory particle size analysers [model 200 ls-n]. These particle size analysers are used for reliable analysis of powders. These analysers can very conveniently be used for analysing powders above 10 microns. They do the job rapidly, accurately and with high reproducibility of the results. Sieving is by suction principle and therefore, wear & tear on the sieves is practically nil, which ensures longer life of the sieves. To meet the demands for automation, the 200 ls-n also comes with an interface for linking it to a pc. The entire jet sieve operation, plus all the control functions and documentation are carried out with the pc under windows. Compared to laser analysers, the 200 ls-n is more accurate for higher than 10 microns measurement because efficient aeration prevents agglomeration of particles and wrong reading. Some of the advantages of these analysers are: no tapping, no vibrations and no moving parts involved in the process of analysis; even small quantity of 10 gms of powder is sufficient to carryout an analysis; option of connecting to a laboratory balance and to a matrix tape printer; and depending on the end-users` requirements, several optional accessories are available.
