Bharat heaters offers a range of electric heaters. Band heaters are useful in plastic injection moulding machines of various makes. These are also used for heating dies, platten pipe sections, nozzles, etc. The sheathing is manufactured from rust resistant steel, brass or stainless steel, with clamps and screws to affix the heater rigidly on cylinder. It also comes in two halves with asbestos heat insulator cover. The heating elements are of nichrome ribbon wire wound on mica strips, made suitable to the sizes and insulated with mica blocks. The element is wound uniformly to eliminate hot spots. The heater is also available with helix coiled element insulated with grooved refractories for temperature up to 600°c. These are available with following standard sizes and capacities:
- inner dia-25 mm to 300 mm;
- width-25 mm to 300 mm;
- operating voltage-230-250 v; and,
- power rating-80 to 3,000 w.
