Saksham enterprises offers bottle torque testers from mecmesin ltd, uk. This range of portable digital torque testers were introduced as a more accurate and up-to-date alternative to the traditional analogue testers. The torque applied by capping machines when fitting screw closures can be monitored by checking sample bottles off-line at regular intervals. The bottle is secured between 4 adjustable locating pegs. The operator simply releases [or tightens] the screw closure and the maximum torque is measured at a high-speed of 1200 times per second, ensuring accurate peak hold memory. It significantly reduces the effects of varying speed by different operators, which is such a common problem with analogue testers. Each result can then be downloaded after the test to a printer/pc via the rs-232 or mitutoyo output. Three different models are available to suit diameters of bottles ranging from 8 mm to 195 mm. A motorised model is also available.
