The Pigment Paste is made under the different process.
- Pigment Preparation: The pigment and the plasticizer are added into the mixer. Here they are stirred well to form a paste. The pigment absorbs the plasticizer
And becomes soft.
- Pigment Dispersion: The paste is fed to the Triple Roll Mill [TRM]. Here it is ground between the rollers to get a fine pigment paste. The paste obtained is
Again fed into the TRM. This process is repeated to improve the fineness of the pigment paste thereby achieving a high degree of pigment dispersion.
- Quality Assurance: The pigment grinding is checked using a Hegman`s Gauge. Each and every batch of paste is ground to a standard fineness say around 5
Microns. As a result of this process we get a fine paste with pigments well dispersed in the paste. This ensures there is consistency of pigment dispersion for batch to
