Stainless/ Mild Steel Pulsation Dampner is used with pressure gauges where sudden pressure shocks and fluctuations are present which cause the pointer to fluctuate rapidly, hence making it difficult to take the gauge reading. The Pulsation Dampner considerably reduces pulsations and hence makes the gauge reading easier and also improves the life of the gauge. The Pulsation Dampner is designed in such a way that sudden pressure changes are damped before they reaches the pressure sensing element to minimise stress on it and giving it longer life. Stainless/ Mild Steel Pulsation Dampner that comes under AP series is also known as snubber.
