Asafoetida with Volatile Oil comes in golden yellow colour. It does not have the property of oxidation but changes its colour from brown to dark brown with ages. It has a very strong smell. This grade of Asafoetida contains much more volatile oil. It has very bitter pungent that is used specially for flavouring compounded asafoetida and also for making churans and Rajasthani papad`s, bhujia`s. It is also used by dissolving it in water. It comes under the name of Pirnaksir.
