Powertec supplies provides smps units from cosel, japan and artesyn technologies, usa. These units are enclosed in various modular packages to suit customer applications. The smps units as well as dc/dc converter modules are enclosed in standard modular aluminium / steel enclosures and are provided with screw connectors or suitable quick connect / disconnect and weatherproof interconnections. The modular enclosures are plug-in-module for each card cage assemblies or instrument case for standalone laboratory models. For 19" standard rack enclosures employed with various networking applications, these units are housed in iu, 2u, 3d and 6u height panels with 84t width and a depth of 200, 300 and 400 mm as required. European standard racks with power supply outputs are readily available as per consumer requirements. The configuration desired for control systems could be dual redundant for current sharing operation or hot swap for repair removals while the second unit is functioning. Current capacities range from less than an ampere to 100 a. Voltages are generally below 48 v dc floating. However, up to 350 v dc generated from ac mains can be provided.
