- Conductor: Solid or stranded, circular annealed, bare or tinned copper wire of 1.5 sq. Mm, 2.5 sq. Mm, 4.0 sq. Mm.
- Insulation: Fully colour coded cores using PVC. It is available as Core identification by printed characters. The three primary colour pigments are magenta [red], yellow, and cyan [blue].
- Screen: Screening by Copper Wire Braid, Aluminium Mylar tape or Aluminium Wire.
- Drain Wire: Drain wire of solid or stranded, bare or tinned copper wire is normally provided.
- Mechanical Protection: Galvanized steel wire, strip or double helical steel tape armour.
