Technical specifications of the Polythene Insulated Jelly Filled Telecom cables:
- Configuration: Twisted Pairs or Star Quads
- Conductor: Solid annealed, bare copper wire of 0.4, 0.5, 0.63 or 0.9mm.
- Insulation: Solid MDPE or HDPE, fully colour coded. Foam skin insulation as per requirement.
- Cable Assembly: In units of 10 or 20 pairs upto 100 pairs. For cables having more than 100 pairs, 5 units of 10 pairs and 20 pairs are laid up to constitute super units of 50 and 100 pairs respectively.
- Filling Compound: It is Suitable for water resistant compound.
- Core Wrap: One or more helical longitudinal paper or plastic tape.
- Moisture Barrier and Screen: Double side plastic coated aluminum tape lay longitudinally with smooth, nominal thickness of 0.20mm. Minimum overlap 6mm, bonded to the inner surface of the polythene sheath.
- Drain Wire: Solid tinned copper 0.5 mm.
- Mechanical Protection: 2 Steel tapes of 0.5mm or 0.8mm thickness helically lay with a maximum gap of 35%.
- Sheath and Jacket: Black LDPE
