South eastern equipment co offers automatic voltage stabilizers & power conditioners in single phase and three phase up to 1500 kva for applications in cnc machines, telecom, hospitals, large industrial units, petrochemical pipelines, defense, ordnance factories, etc. Solid state regulators allow for a regulated output, voltage through the controlled firing of inverse parallel pair of scr`s, which are connected in shunt leg of an auto-transformer. The corrective voltage generated at the autotransformer adds or subtracts vectorally from the input voltage, relying on the phase angle at which the scrs are fired. The rms voltage detector keeps an eye on the output voltage and raises an error signal used by the control circuit to direct gate drive to the appropriate scr at the suitable firing angle. In order to reduce the harmonic content in the regulator output, filters are connected across the auto transformer. The over current protection circuit included in the automatic voltage stabilizers, detects the magnitude of the current flowing through the scr and eliminates gate drive from the scrs when the current surpasses a predetermined magnitude.
