Flexicab industries offers type e-ee-et high temperature hook-up wires in -90° to 260°c range and awg # 4-# 26 sizes. The conductor is soft, annealed copper-silver plated for up to 200°c temperature or nickel plated for temperatures up to 260°c. The insulation is ptfe [teflon] spiral wrapped and fused. Tape made of ptfe fluorocarbon resins is applied spirally around conductor in multiple overlaps under precisely controlled tensions. Tapes fuse into a homogenous mass during the sintering process which help in ensuring superior dielectric qualities. These high temperature hook-up wires are available in fibreglass braid and metal sheath type. These hook-up wires come with advantages such as 250°c upper service temperatures; overload current protection; will not propagate flame or serve as fuel for fire; soldering iron resistance; ptfe has a low dielectric constant and dissipation factor; electrical stability; chemical resistance; weather resistance and resistance to mechanical abuse. The high temperature hook-up wires are applicable in electronic test equipments; communication equipments; electronic equipment for aircraft, radar, navigation, electro-mechanical applications, satellites, research equipment for aerospace naval and marine, meteorological; electronic control equipment for atomic energy, satellite launching, ground control, reactors and process control; computers; thermocouple sensing leads; load cells and pressure transducers; and high temperature control valves, furnace and oven wiring. The company supplies these high temperature hook-up wires in black, brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, grey and white colours. The ptfe wires are manufactured as per jss specification 51004.
