This membrane is very flexible and can be stretched in two directions and well adjusted. The Bone Augmentation Material consists of 100% PTFE [Polytetrafluoroethylene], a material which has proven to be absolutely bio-inert. Considerable advantage of this material is that a primary wound closure is not required. The membrane should not be perforated by sutures and it is sufficient for wound coverage. After 21 to 25 days, the membrane can be removed through a very small opening in one piece with a probe, an easy and quick procedure.
