Pacsci, usa, has introduced 6400 series, new generation compact dc stepper drives. Model 6410 is an economical compact drive that converts step and direction input into winding current for 2 phase motors. The 6410 can operate with a single power supply. Output voltage is equal to power supply. Output current is selectable from 0.625 a to 5a rms. Default output current is 5 a. The drive size is very compact 38 x 127 x 109 mm only. The bipolar chopper drive four phase pwm, chopping electronically controls motor winding current at 20 khz drive has digital electronic damping which damps oscillation in mid range speed bands, to develop full torque at all motor speeds. Reduce current feature minimizes current to 50 % during idle condition and minimizes motor heating.
