This is manufactured with an unidirectional layer of cabled glass yarns impregnated under tension with a modified thermo setting resin for class "h" insulation specially developed for use as banding restrain on traction armatures, large generators, and other rotating electricla machines. This product is offered in `b` stage semi-cured resin systems and the free flow characteristic of the resin avoids air space in the band to improve heat dissipation factor. It also finds applications in banding of transformer cores & transformer tie-loops.
