Control systems for monitoring liquid levels are manufactured by active controls. Active control systems are used to monitor liquid levels by magnetic level sensing. They provide remote location level indication; level warning alarms; automatic control of pumps/valves etc. Structural features of the control systems: basic systems comprise three main components i] a probe unit, ii] an actuating float, and iii] a control panel. The probe is made from sealed stainless steel tube, in which magnetic level sensors are enclosed. The unit is mounted on the top of the tank. Since the sensors are not in direct contact with the liquid, and are magnetically operated, there is no corrosion/damage to the sensors. This ensures unlimited life. The actuating float is mounted on the probe and floats on liquid surface. This is made either from ss 316 or pp. In its vertical movement the float operates the magnetic sensors as it reached their level. The sensors send signals to the control panel, which gives outputs of level indication, alarm and control. The control panel installed at any suitable location converts the signal into a specific output of audio/visual level indication, level alarm and automatic pump control.
