In the Plasma Spraying System, coating material is melted in a high temperature zone and the molten droplets are propelled on to the substrate to be deposited as a layer. The coatings are 100 to 500 microns thick.
The Plasma Spraying System can be used for coating of both high and low melting point materials like ceramics, carbides, metals and plastics. This Plasma Spraying System is used for aircraft engine components, textile machine parts, power plant components, etc. This process can also be carried out inside a vacuum chamber to a produce coating free from porosity, oxidation and residual stress for applications in gas turbines.
