Different types of AC Motor Start Electrolytic Capacitor are:
- Professional Grade [SPG] capacitors are made with multiple anode and cathode Tab terminal to achieve low ESR, low impedance and inductance. These capacitors are screw type terminal and especially used in UPS, Industrial control equipments, communication equipments, computers, Heavy duty invertors, Battery chargers, Energy storage Application, Defense application, etc.
- Industrial Grade [SIG] capacitors are made with compact size in lug type terminal ideal for mounting directly on the PCB without any need for a separate clamp. These capacitors are especially used in SMPS, UPS, Computer, Entertainment Electronic circuits, etc.
- Non Polar Grade [SNP] capacitors are designed for withstanding internal vibration stresses and are provided with phenolic molded Bakelite cans and Bakelite Disc with screw terminal and used where the polarity is unknown. These capacitors are especially used in Diesel Electric Locomotive application, DC welding machines, Thyristor control equipment, Defense equipments, etc.
