Acu-rite scan inspection systems company has introduced launched a profile projector, model pt 200. This profile projector features a 200 mm diameter screen with 10x and 25x magnification lens mounted on turret for easy interchangeability and safety of the lenses, a rotary protractor screen for angular measurement, two one-micron micrometer heads and a quartz halogen profile and surface illumination. Other salient features: include
1. Coated optics gives bright, clear and sharp images;
2. Highly polished and lapped front coated mirrors provide distortion-less reproduction;
3. A precision, hard chrome plated coordinate work stage featuring hard and ground ball tracks at one micron least count; and
4. Micrometer heads for high accuracy are provided.
The profile projector has cooling fans for all bulbs and independent electronic and intensity controller to enable it to adjust the combination of background/foreground lighting. Focusing is provided by means of rack and pinion arrangement that raises and lowers the work stage. This system ensures that the object image is maintained. This projector is suitable for inspection checking and measurement of small precision components like watch parts, precision turn components, form tools, surgical needles, etc.
