The metal shell is of two types- j mainly those made from Solid metal and those made from pipe. This shell made fron pipe basically consist of 3 components the pipe, shafts and flanges.

• The pipe normally is made from mild steel. It can also be made from other metal like aluminum, Phosphor bronze, brass, cast steel, carbon fibre, plastic composite etc.

• The shaft material normally consists of different types of Steel starting from M.S. 1 other Steel Alloy materials depending upon the end use of the Roller.
