Pressure leaf filters are advanced version of old, outdated plate and frame type of filters. They are used for filtration of oils and chemicals up to 5u particle size. The filtration is done with filter aid. They find extensive application in edible/non edible oil industry and all chemical/ pharmaceutical companies. Salient features: 5 m2 to 40 m2 filtering area; material of construction ms, ss-304 or ss-316; stainless steel filter elements; mechanical cake discharge in very short time without opening the filter hence saving in time and labour; low percentage of oil in filter cake; higher rate of filtration; no use of filter cloth hence no wastage of oil; closed operating system hence no spillage and loss of oil, and very clean operation; and, compact and very light hence saving in floor area and supporting structures.
