Its main body is fabricated using high strength cast iron, and alloys like nickel, chromium and manganese which impart better bearing properties and also increase the lifetime of the chucks. The jaws are made from case hardening steel, while the gripping faces are precision ground for perfect fitting. Scrolls are constructed using wear-resistant steel .The jaws, scrolls and the pinions are heat-treated to increase their durability and lifetime. Pinions have square holes embedded in them for operation of the chucks. The normal size diameter of chucks ranges from 110cm to 315cm with the hole size 9cm to 17cm and the approximate weight between 5.5 kgs to 40 kgs. 4 jaw independent chucks /dog chucks are also available with size 160cm to 450cm weighing between 10 to 75 kgs. An internal and external jaw, an operating key of proper strength, and an inspection report accompany each and every chuck. Every chuck has a guarantee period of one year and the parts are interchangeable only in case of any manufacturing defect. Ajaco ltd.
