The spfi 0100 is a special electrode used for depositing low alloy weld metal on dies and high tensile steels. It has the following prominent features:

• The spfi 0100 has an alloy basis of cr, ni, mo

• The spfi 0100 is a medium coated hydrogen controlled electrode depositing low alloy weld metal

• The weld metal gives tensile strength of over 95 kgf/mm which can also be raised to 110 kgf/mm by suitable heat treatment & elongation of 16%

• The electrode gives smooth arc and detachable slag

• Three layered weld deposit gives hardness 35 rc approx.

• The electrode gives radiographic quality welds.

• Can be used in all position.

Used for repair of dies in forging industry, forging dies for filling all types of die impressions. Repair of case hardening steel parts after removing the hard zone for repairing cracks in ni-cr hot working dies.
