Carbohydrate based Caramel Colour is prepared by heating food grade carbohydrates under controlled environment. The Caramel Colour is made using different types of food grade acids, alkalis or salts of different classes for various types of caramel colour. The Caramel Colour is available as plain caramel colour, caustic sulphite process caramel colour, ammonia process caramel colour and ammonia sulphite process caramel colour. The Carbohydrate based Caramel Colour exhibits good stability in stability in heat light and pH.
