Britacel are manufacturers of specialty silicones which cater to the needs of textile finishing, silicone emulsions, defoamers for hot spinning and jet dyeing, body fillers, water repellents, printing products and reactive dyes. Silicone fluid emulsion silone xxl has the following salient features:
They are water dilutable, solvent free emulsion of a medium viscosity.
The basic polydimethyl siloxane fluid is colourless, heat stable, inert and provides easy release and lubrication properties.
A single application gives clean, easy release, through many cycles, withstands elevated temperatures and is highly resistant to chemical attack.
Silone xxl is used as a mould release agent in the foundry industry. As a lubricant on plastic and rubber surfaces. As a release agent in the vulcanisation of elastomers and demoulding of profiles, sheets and moulded articles. As an additive in polishes for improving rub out properties. Widely used on cooking surfaces of electric frying pan and waffle irons. Used for hydrophobizing mineral and glass fibres for the production of insulating materials.
