To the national and international development of welding consumables he has made outstanding contributions with emphasis on import substitution and self-reliance and it is largely due to his dedicated efforts during the years [1965 to 1985] that india today is virtually self-sufficient in special purpose electrodes. Honavar electrodes manufactures a wide range of smaw electrodes as listed hereunder: mild steel electrodes; low hydrogen electrodes for carbon steels and for high strength steels; low alloys steel electrodes for low temperature applications; electrodes for creep resisting steels; electrodes for cast iron; electrodes for nickel and nickel alloys; electrodes for cutting and gouging; electrodes for stainless steel filler wire; and "delta" range for maintenance and repair welding filler wire. A comprehensive range of smaw electrodes are also offered by honavar electrodes in the categories of rutile types and low hydrogen types for mild steel, medium and high tensile steels, stainless steel, cast iron, nickel base alloys and electrodes for maintenance welding.
