| Prism electronics has developed model xp 311a cosmos intrinsically safe dual sensitivity range combustible gas detector with automatic sampling which can detect the presence and indicates concentration of combustible gases and vapours. The oil industry safety directorate has made it compulsory to have at least two explosimeters per lpg plant. The dual sensitivity range gas detectors come with salient features such as 0-100 % and 0-10 % lel two measurement ranges and 0 to 1.8% and 0 to 1.8% by volume additional meter scales. The instrument is turned on by a single multi-position switch which also checks battery voltage and select sensitivity range required. The dual range gas detectors are available with integral extremely low power drain and a micro-pump for continuous, steady sample flow to give accurate and repetitive measurements alomg with a pushbutton meter illumination to test at night or other poorly lit areas. The gas detectors are available with salient features such as compact and lightweight, accurate and dependable, long sensor life, easy to maintain, ruggedly constructed. The company supplies this instrument with a variety of probe accessories for use according to atmosphere to be tested, set of 4 aa size batteries for 4 hours of continuous operation or 100 intermittent tests of 3 minutes duration each. The model xp-311a dual sensitivity range gas detectors are available with integral alarm circuit calibrated in % lel for lp gas [is-butane]. The company can also provide with calibration for other specific gas on request.
