Indian core oil, since 1967, manufactures various types of foundry chemicals. Being a part of that degrasses is used to remove hydrogen non-metallic from molten metal to eliminate porosity in castings. Hydrogen pick up can deteriorate mechanical properties and can cause pinholes in castings. Degasses eliminates gas porosity, refines grains and improves mechanical properties. Degrasses is most effective when pushed in the metal bath in a form of a tablet and with the help of plunger.
