Ptfe coated fiberglass sewing threads are used where conventional threads will fail under high temperatures. The threads can withstand a temperature upto 600°c. It also offers metallic stitching threads duly coated with ptfe etc. Depending upon the requirement, 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 even more strands of fiberglass yarn are piled together and a high twist given simultaneously

This strand is then coated with lubricants, which gives it the necessary lubricity to withstand high speed stitching operations
