Recent days machine manufacturers are confronted with tough technological requirements to achieve high precision, high productivity and process capability with maximum flexibility in machining parts for engines, transmissions and chassis. Anger machining, austria is the pioneer in manufacturing multi-spindle technology since early 1980s with combination of the high precision and high productivity factors. These multi-spindle machining provide benefits of low machining costs and adaptability to changing production requirements. The company has developed latest range high performance hcx machine based on this multi-spindle technology that helps in connecting high accuracy with low machining time. These flexible machining is available with geared spindles to the type of machining and tool involved assuring the optimum speed, performance and concentricity for top machining results. The part is moved in single clamping device from one tool to another, each of which is already at the appropriate working speed during production cycle. Some of the salient features of these flexible machining includes elimination of tool changer for reduction of chip-to-chip time down to 0.3 sec; automatically checked parts for correct positioning during clamping; and optimising process main time on up to 6 sides in one clamping when machining process is completed. The part remains in one chucking device adjusted once within exact clamping point reference system and eliminating repeated clamping inaccuracies throughout the entire machining process when clamped. This unique feature of the machining offers ± 0.02 mm position tolerances. The flexible multi-spindle machining comes with technical data like part up to 450 kg weights; 550 x 2000 x 550 mm travel in x, y and z axis, as well as 4th and 5th axis for ±200°each range.
