These thermometersare special infrared thermometers to measure temperatures which cannot be measured by normal infrared thermometers especially in plastic processing for producing and converting thin transparent films of polyester [pet], fluoroplastic, teflon, acrylic, nylon [polyamide], pvc, polycarbonate, etc. Plastic finds its applications in: lamination, flexo-printing, film orientation, extrusion and extrusion coating. These infrared thermometers have a spectral response of 7.9 microns which enables measuring the thin film surface temperature accurately and avoids looking through it and getting erroneous background temperature. In addition to displaying real-time temperature, the thermometers calculate maximum, minimum, difference and average temperatures, but the recall feature allows accessing the last reading. Following are some of the technical features of these thermometers which include: backlit display is easy-to-read under poor lighting conditions;locking trigger allows continuous operation, while adjustable hi/lo alarms signal over - and under-range temperature conditions; each infrared thermometer is provided with a padded nylon carrying case, shoulder strap and tripod mount; with laser sighting and on-board data logging capabilities [100 data points], the infrared thermometers eliminate the need for clipboards, recording devices or othe peripheral hardware. Provide a direct interface is provided by analog and digital data output from the infrared thermometers to chart recorders, printers and computers using windows software. |
