| Toshniwal industries have introduced the marathon series of smart infrared thermometers which is a family of unique non-contact temperature measuring instruments. These are designed for harsh operating enviroments manufactured by raytek inc, usa, which combine superior performance with state-of-the-art digital technology. These integrated units offer advanced electro-optics, smart digital electronics, wide temperature ranges and a built-in user interface in a rugged, compact housing. Marathon fibre optic ratio thermometers [mr1f] uses two-colour infrared measurement to provide superior accuracy in harsh enviroments. These thermometers include a small, variable focus optical head, armoured and sealed fibre-optic cable and separate electronics enclosure with user interface panel. These are available in three models [1] mr1f-a [650-1,400â°c][2] mr1fb [700-1,800â°c] and [3] mr1f-c [1,000-3,000â°c]. Marathon mr1f thermometers permit measurement of targets in difficult-to-reach locations, in very hot environments, close to electromagnetic fields or in the event when steam/smoke is present in copious amounts near the object. Mrif thermometers have fast response time down to 10 msec and superior optical resolution to 75:1. They allow bidirectional rs-485 serial communications between the factory floor and the control room.
