| Toshniwal industries introduces the marathon fa series of fibre optic infrared thermometers. These are non-contact temperature measuring instruments designed for harsh operating environment, manufactured by raytek inc, usa. Model fa1/fa2 are fibre optic thermometers which measures temperature from 250 to 3,000â°c. These thermometers permit measurement of targets in harsh industrial environments which are otherwise inaccessible with other infrared thermometers. Model fa1g is specially designed for measuring, glass temperature from 750-1,675â°c. These thermometers consist of a rugged fibre optic cable plus optical head assembly connected to an electronic housing containing the detector, processing electronics, internal user-interface/led display and termination connections for field wiring. The fixed-focus optical head consists of a small stainless steel cylindrical housing and lens assembly capable of withstanding ambient temperatures up to 200â°c [392â°f] and it is nema-4 rated. The optical head accommodates an air-purge accessory to prevent lens contamination. The fibre optic cable is protected by metal armour and sealed with a viton jacket to prevent wicking of water or oils. The assembly accommodates a small bend radius for threading, through tight spaces. The thermometers maintain their high accuracy over the ambient operating temperature range from 0-60â°c. The package includes marathon support software, a suite of windows programs for pcs allowing remote parameter setting, data acquisition, graphic display of data, and rs-485 multidrop network configuration.
